where i’d actually stay in savannah for a girls trip

two women walking in sunny urban park setting

i genuinely think savannah, georgia might be one of my top girls trip cities ever if your ideal weekend involves:

  • cute hotels
  • walkability
  • good food (especially brunches!!!)
  • sleeping in
  • rooftop drinks
  • and pretending you live there for 48 hours

but i also think where you stay completely changes the trip.

some hotels feel more social, some are better for relaxing, and some make way more sense depending on whether your trip is:

  • a birthday weekend
  • a bachelorette
  • a staycation
  • or just a random excuse to get out of town

so these are the savannah hotels i’d personally look at first.

the alida

if you care about walkability and want the trip to feel lively, this is where i’d stay.

the location makes everything easier:
coffee, bars, riverfront walks, dinner reservations, rooftop drinks — all of it.

it feels social without being chaotic, which i think is kind of the perfect balance for a girls weekend.

this is the kind of hotel where you end up accidentally staying out longer because it’s so easy to bounce around the area.

hotel bardo

this hotel honestly feels like the “we planned this trip because everyone needed a reset” option.

the vibe is slower, prettier, and more elevated than somewhere that’s centered around nightlife.

this hotel is for: pool time, reading books, matcha, long dinners and wearing linen!

if your version of a successful trip is coming home feeling emotionally restored, hotel bardo is probably the move.

the desoto savannah

i feel like this is one of the safest good options if you’re planning for a bigger group.

it’s central, convenient, and feels very classic savannah in a way that works well for first-time visitors.

also important:
sometimes the “perfect boutique hotel” becomes annoying when you’re coordinating multiple people.

this feels easier in the best way.

the drayton hotel

the drayton feels more boutique and slightly more understated than some of the other options.

i’d probably recommend this for the friend group that wants:
– nice cocktails
– good restaurants
– walkability
– aesthetic rooms
but not necessarily a super party-heavy weekend.

it feels chic without trying too hard.

municipal grand

this one feels the most design-forward to me (and is lowkey my dream hotel).

it’s quieter, more intimate, and feels less “touristy” than some of the bigger hotels.

definitely more of a curated stay.

honestly though, the biggest thing i always tell people when planning trips is: don’t just book the hotel with the most aesthetic instagram account.

book the hotel that matches the actual energy of the weekend you want.
